Our Process
We agree with the client the position, height and purpose of the structure — partition wall, suspended ceiling, niche or wall lining — and set out the axes along the floor, walls and ceiling for a precise installation. We build the load-bearing frame from galvanised profiles: fixing the perimeter UW tracks with dowels and placing the vertical CW studs every 60 cm, doubling the profiles on taller or loaded walls for greater stability and load capacity.
Before closing up, we lay thermal and acoustic insulation (mineral wool) in the cavity and run the planned electrical, plumbing and low-voltage installations. We clad the frame with plasterboard chosen to suit the room — moisture-resistant for bathrooms, fire-resistant where needed — screw-fixed on the correct spacing and precisely cut around switches, sockets and pipes. Finally we tape and joint the seams over several coats, smooth the screw heads and corners, and sand to a surface ready for priming and painting.
